Catching up on reviews

Sunday, September 20, 2009

I love reading..and writing reviews. Its just the laziness that gets in the way.

Alaine at Queen of Happy Endings has posted a great post on catching up on reviews for bloggers behind in their book reviews. She has some great tips on how to ensure you're on top of your reviews at all times. Go read

I really have a huge problem with getting my reviews done. I'm not even considering the books i didn't like or the ones that were just ok.  This is either because i get so immersed in a good book that i don't jot notes when i'm reading it and then it becomes too late, or because i've written half a review and then left it in the drafts and moved on to another book

Another problem is series books - for series i like, i want to review all the books i read, in order..and the order is the part where the problems occurs. So i have an almost review for Dime Store Magic written, but want to post reviews for Bitten and Stolen first.

This coming week is review week for me..so hopefully i should have quite a few done..most are half done so it shouldn't be so hard.
  1. Shakespeare's Landlord - Charlaine Harris
  2. Iron Kissed - Book 3 - Patricia Briggs
  3. Dirty - Megan Hart
  4. Bitten (Book 1) - Kelley Armstrong
  5. Stolen (Book 2) - Kelley Armstrong
  6. Men of the Otherworld - Kelley Armstrong
  7. Caressed By Ice - Nalini Singh
  8. Wild Rain - Christine Feehan
One book review a day maybe?

*The pic has nothing to do with the post, but i kept thinking of the Hitchhiker's Guide today and it was a toss between this pic and one of Marvin
** Alaine - Thank you for the inspiration for this post

K, I look forward to reading all your review this week. Thanks for mentioning my post.

I'm the same, most of the time I set up the reviews while I'm reading the book and make notes, especially when something great happens in the book. But my biggest issue is always reviewing sequels in a series. It's so hard not to give away spoilers, I really hate doing series. I have waited once until I read all the books in a series to review them but most of the time I don't read them immediately so it's too hard to wait.
