The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom

I carried this book along to read on the plane to India. That seemed liked the only time i would ever willingly pick this book to read. When a book has a lotta hype attached to it and everyone's telling you how it CHANGED THEIR LIVES I know I'm not going to like it. So yeah, it didn't begin well before it began.
I only managed to finish reading it because i absolutely have to have something to read when I'm eating and there wasn't much to choose from at home in India (my fault, i bought all the books to Singapore with me when i moved)
I'm going to try and be positive on this review:
The Good Stuff:
You have to give Albom credit for imagination - you meet 5 people after you die who try to help you make sense of your life.
(cue crickets chirping)
Personally, just send me to heaven (ok ok, hell) straight away. If you cannot make sense of your life when you're alive, well, doing that once your dead is a lil too late. And pointless.
One good thing about this book = it was short.
The writing is simple, but i think a bit too simple. It's also completely preachy. And about what? In the end we're all connected? (Phew!!! needed 5 people to tell me this after i died for me to realise this beauty of a thought)
If books are going to have morals, the morals hould atleast be nice and a lil more than common sense. Earth Shattering this was not.
hmm.. what else was good? OK, so the first couple of pages were good. I was kindly interested in knowing where this was all going. I was also just getting comfortable in my seat on the plane and i didn't know that very soon i was gonna whoop for joy after finding Hellboy 2 among the in-flight entertainment (woohoo, go Jet Airlines!! and Thank you)
The Bad Stuff:
I can't think of any more to say

This one was one I saw and didn't read. I was too afraid I'd cry my eyeballs out. I can detach myself if it's a movie.
i didn't know they'd made a movie on this until i was googling for the cover of the book. I hope the Movie was better than the book
