Tempting Evil (Riley Jenson Guardian Series, Book 3)
371 pages
Rating 4/5
In a world of sorcery and seduction, the nights bring out the beautiful, the damned, and the desired. Here, Riley Jenson is on her own–half werewolf, half vampire, working for an organization created to police the supernatural races. Trusting her superiors and lovers barely more than she trusts her worst enemies, Riley plays by her own set of rules. Her latest mission: to enter the heavily guarded pleasure palace of a criminal named Deshon Starr–a madman-scientist who’s been messing around in the gene pool for decades.
With two sexy men–a cool, seductive vampire and an irresistibly hot wolf–vying for her attention, Riley must keep focused. Because saving the world from Deshon Starr will mean saving herself–from the trap that’s closing in around her. . . .
This book is in sorts an end to the whole cross breeding villains. Riley has finally gotten Guardian training, and the plan to take out Deshon Starr and the entire cartel is in motion.
Riley goes into Starr's compound as one of this hired fighters for entertainment and works her magic at getting information and at the same time saving a couple of people on the way. There's Kade, Rhoan and Quinn at the compound with her. Its a bit tiring, the number of people she sleeps with in this book. Mostly because there doesn't seem to be much else happening then. There's a time when she's having sex with Kade but she's really having sex with Quinn who's 'mentally' screwing her through Kade. See, that's just too weird now.
I like that the characters and the relationship between them is developing. Quinn is using Riley for his own ends and yet they have something of a relationship here. It'll be interesting to see how the Quinn-Riley thing plays out, he's finally looking like he may begin fighting for Riley's attentions the right way.
There's promise of more Kellen & Kade in the books to come.
What i like most is Rhoan and Riley's understanding of each other - the whole twin dynamic and the fact that they understand each other so well emotionally.
And then there's Gautier - who another threat which will definitely make the next book a good read.
All in all, i am hooked to this series.

I just recently borrowed the first book in this series, after hearing Keri talk at the recent Australian Romance Readers Convention! I am looking forward to reading it soon.
I've read this entire series now including the just released 7th Book and they are awesome.
I completely loved book 6 & 7 but make sure you read them in sequence so that you dont miss out on the 'romantic' plot :O)
